Carbon Reduction Footprint -CCL

Commitment to Net Zero
Care Centred Ltd is fully committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions across all scopes of its operations by 2050, in line with the UK Government's Net Zero Strategy and the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) framework.
As a small health and social care provider, the emissions profile is primarily driven by vehicle fuel use associated with delivering care to clients. This Carbon Reduction Plan sets out practical, achievable actions proportionate to the organisation’s size and resources, using a phased approach that starts with monitoring and efficiency improvements and progresses towards a transition to cleaner vehicles over time.
The commitment to Net Zero includes the following actions:
Measure, monitor and transparently report greenhouse gas emissions annually across all three scopes
Set and pursue realistic, phased reduction targets aligned with operational capacity
Embed low‑carbon principles into operations and service delivery in a way that is proportionate to the organisation’s size
Begin transitioning the vehicle fleet to electric or hybrid alternatives from 2030, as existing vehicles reach the end of their natural life
Achieve Net Zero no later than 2050, with any residual
At Care Centred Ltd, delivering exceptional care goes hand-in-hand with caring for our planet. We are fully committed to achieving Net Zero and ensuring our operations support a healthier, more sustainable future for the communities we serve.

Carbon Reduction Targets & Milestones
The following targets are set against our 2025/26 baseline of 30.19 tCO₂e. Targets are realistic and proportionate to the capacity of a small care business. The largest reductions are linked to fleet electrification, which begins in earnest from 2030.
Year 2027
- Key Milestone: Mileage recording, eco-driving, and journey planning fully in place; renewable electricity tariff switched
- Reduction vs Baseline: ~5%
- Target Emissions : ~28.7 tCO₂e
Year 2030
- Key Milestone: First vehicle replaced with EV or hybrid at natural renewal; all quick-win efficiency measures operational
- Reduction vs Baseline: ~15%
- Target Emissions: ~25.7 tCO₂e
Year 2035
- Key Milestone: At least half of fleet transitioned to electric or hybrid; commuting and leased asset measures embedded
- Reduction vs Baseline: ~40%
- Target Emissions: ~18.1 tCO₂e
Year 2040
- Key Milestone: Fleet largely electric or hybrid; supply chain and procurement measures fully embedded
- Reduction vs Baseline: ~65%
- Target Emissions: ~10.6 tCO₂e
Year 2050
- Key Milestone: Net Zero achieved; any residual emissions addressed through verified carbon removal
- Reduction vs Baseline: 100%
- Target Emissions: Net Zero
Our interim targets are indicative estimates based on expected impact of planned measures. Actual reductions will depend on factors including vehicle replacement timelines, staff numbers, and service delivery patterns. Targets will be reviewed and updated annually.
